Daniel Gullo

Daniel has been a well-known and highly regarded servant of the Agile community for many years.  His tireless dedication and effort has earned him the distinction of The Most Valuable Agile Professional award for 2015.

As founder and principal of Apple Brook Consulting®, he has first hand experience about what it takes to make business work.  A lifelong entrepreneur, Daniel’s portfolio of clients is long and distinguished:  ING Direct (CapitalOne), NAVTEQ, IRS, PayPal, ADP, US Postal Service, GM, US Treasury Department, T. Rowe Price, GE, and many other high-profile organizations.

Daniel is the founder of and chief advisor to Agile Delaware and a frequent reviewer, volunteer, and speaker for the Scrum Alliance, Agile Alliance, PMI and other organizations.  His experience includes delivering keynote addresses for conferences such as Scrum Gathering – India; Scrum Gathering – Rio; Scrum Gathering – China; et al.  He is also co-founder of AgileNEXT – The Next Generation Agile Talk Show and CoreAgility – a monthly publication with Agile articles and other information.

Daniel was Conference Chair for the 2015 Scrum Gathering in Phoenix.  He was also the Conference Chair for the 2013 Scrum Gathering in Las Vegas, which makes him the only individual in the community to serve twice in this capacity.  He has coached other conference chairs for both Scrum Gatherings and Agile Alliance events and is one of the administrators of the submission review system for Scrum Gatherings.

Daniel serves on the Trainer Acceptance Committee (TAC) for the Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) certification program.  He is also a reviewer of Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC) applications.  Daniel is a founding member of the Scrum Coaching Retreat Planning Committee; host of Coaches Clinic events; and facilitator of Open Space Events, including the Scrum Alliance’s largest Open Space ever at the Scrum Gathering in Berlin (with over 500 people) and the Open Space at Scrum Gathering – Shanghai.

Daniel is a prolific contributor to a vast array of online forums, blogs, and other social media including a network of over 5500 connections on LinkedIn and 25,000 followers on Twitter.  Daniel has given much of his free time to mentoring and coaching candidates for CST and CSC and has received accolades for his efforts from the individuals whom he has mentored, as well as, his colleagues in the training and coaching community.

Daniel is a trusted advisor to staff and management of the Scrum Alliance on matters related to policy, strategy, and vision; including but not limited to the Global Events program, CST program, CSC program, and other community outreach efforts.

Stephen Forte

Leadership Coach, Advisor, GLOBAL


Stephen Forte is a key advisor to both Apple Brook Consulting and ABC clients.  Stephen is a Managing Partner at Fresco Capital. Based in Menlo Park, CA, Stephen is involved in all aspects of investment and operations with a specific focus on enterprise and IoT. Prior, he was Chief Strategy Officer of Telerik, a leading vendor of developer and team productivity tools and acquired by Progress Software in 2014. He is an active angel investor and also a mentor at several startup accelerators including Haxlr8r and the Thiel Foundation’s 20 under 20 program. He is the founder of Mach5, a Silicon Valley based startup accelerator and co-founder of AcceleratorHK, Hong Kong’s first startup accelerator.

Stephen was the co-founder of several startups, including Chassis Finder (acquired in 2012), Triton Works (acquired in 2010) and Corzen (acquired in 2007). Prior to Corzen, Stephen served as the first CTO of venture backed Zagat Survey in New York City (acquired in 2011) and also was co-founder of the New York-based software consulting firm The Aurora Development Group.

Stephen has an MBA from the City University of New York, did post grad work at LSE and has written several books on application and database development. An avid mountain climber, he leads an annual charity fundraising trek in the Mt. Everest region.


Jennifer Barker

Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)

Director of Operations


As the Director of Operations for Apple Brook Consulting®, Jennifer has a diverse background; working with many clients in their Agile, project management and professional services endeavors. She is an active member of Scrum Alliance, Project Management Institute and Deloitte Alumni. Her vast experience ranges from assisting with the successful start-up of divisions for smaller companies to growing existing ones. Agile has been a part of every venture she has taken on over the past twelve plus years.

Jennifer knows first-hand the importance of dedication while working with teams from all different industries to assist in reaching their goals and initiatives. She is completely devoted to the success of the whole and will stop at nothing to ensure that success. Her proactive, collaborative approach and all-around positive demeanor is an asset to colleagues, customers, and partners alike.

Outside of work, Jennifer volunteers in various capacities within her community and thrives on helping others be the best they can be.


Katie Gullo

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

In addition to providing finance and accounting support to Apple Brook Consulting, Katie also uses Agile practices in education as she experiments with Scrum and Kanban to homeschool the FIVE (5) Gullo children.



Jeff Lopez-Stuit

Jeff Lopez-Stuit is a Certified Enterprise Coach who has trained and coached individuals and organizations all over the world to improve their ability to improve.  He guides organizations to exploit the fundamentals of Agile to leave behind the inadequate structures of the past, and establish a culture that enables continuous delivery of astonishing value to their customers.


Jeff’s devotion is to coach worldwide in organizations that are building global products with global teams.   His training and coaching work has brought him to clients throughout the United States, India, Israel, and the United Kingdom.   Sharing his wide experience of how companies can get the most value out of Agile is a core element of his approach. He has also served as a mentor and guide to aspiring Scrum Masters and Coaches throughout the world, and is passionate about creating a new generation of great agilists.


Jeff has been invited to present at Scrum Alliance Global Scrum Gatherings seven times throughout North America, Asia, and Europe, as well as speaking frequently at regional Agile conferences wherever he is working.  Among the clients he has coached and consulted for are Cisco Systems, Thomson-Reuters, General Motors, Bank of America, Symantec, VISA, Fidelity Investments, Tenneco, Precor, and Wizards of the Coast.


Jeff is a graduate of Michigan State University (BA) and the University of Michigan (MPP), holds numerous certifications from the Scrum Alliance, and is a Certified Economic Development Finance Professional by the National Development Council.  In addition to his work in Agile, he is a musician, studying and performing devotional music from Silk Road traditions from Turkey to India.
